Mannan oligosaccharide (MOS) on growth performance, immunity, inflammatory and antioxidant responses of the common carp (Cyprinus carpio) under ammonia stress

This study evaluated the potential effects of mannan oligosaccharide (MOS) on health status common carp under ammonia stress. The experimental fish were equally divided into four groups. control group was fed with a basal diet. stress (Am group) diet and set in culture environment 0.15 mg/L NH3. MOS 0.2% treatment (MOS/Am feed exposure (NH3, mg/L). These groups for 30 d. results showed that stress, growth performance decreased significantly, activities non-specific immune factors, intestinal digestive enzymes, antioxidant enzymes significantly. Dietary supplementation MOS, performance, increased. Histopathological studies adding reduced liver, gill, intestine tissue damage exposure. Our suggests to can improve immunity, capacity, carp. effectively alleviate oxidative inflammatory response caused by poisoning
